Terms of Sale

Rules governing subscription, payment, renewal and use of Historic Prism paid offers.

Last updated · 15 September 2026
Pre-contractual version. Payments are not yet open. Before activation, Historic Prism will complete the business registration details, withdrawal contact address and consumer mediator information.
01

Purpose and scope

These Terms of Sale govern paid subscriptions offered under the Historic Prism brand by the publisher identified in the legal notice.

The publisher’s complete legal identity will be displayed before commercial payments are opened.

Subscription requires an account and acceptance of the version of these Terms applicable on the date of the order.

02

Offers and prices

Historic Prism offers free access and two paid subscriptions. As of this version:

  • Member: €6.90 per month or €69 per year; indicative allowance of 100 AI questions per month.
  • Supporter: €12 per month or €120 per year; indicative allowance of 300 AI questions per month.

The price, billing period, included functions and any applicable taxes are restated before the order is confirmed. In case of conflict, the information displayed in the subscription flow at the time of the order prevails for that order.

03

Account creation and access

The subscriber provides a valid email address, chooses a password and must confirm the address where verification is required. Credentials are personal and must not be shared abusively.

Access to certain functions may depend on the subscription tier, including restricted dossiers, advanced research tools, comparisons and AI-assistance quotas. A quota is a usage limit and not a promise of uninterrupted availability of any particular model or provider.

04

Payment

Online payments are intended to be processed by Stripe once the production integration is activated. Historic Prism does not receive the full payment-card number; the payment provider processes data necessary for the transaction under its own security and privacy terms.

An order becomes final only after payment confirmation. In case of failure, rejection or non-payment, paid access may be suspended until the situation is resolved.

05

Renewal and cancellation

Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically for a period of the same type until cancellation, unless otherwise stated during subscription.

The subscriber may stop renewal from the account area and, once Stripe is activated, from the subscription-management portal. Unless the law provides more favourable rights, paid access remains available until the end of the period already paid for and no further charge is made afterwards.

06

Right of withdrawal

Where applicable, a consumer generally has fourteen days from conclusion of the contract to exercise the right of withdrawal, subject to the exceptions and procedures provided by French consumer law for digital services and content.

If immediate performance of a digital service legally requires express agreement or an acknowledgement concerning the right of withdrawal, this information is collected in the order flow before the relevant performance begins.

Contact details and procedures will be displayed before commercial payments are opened.

07

Availability, changes and AI

Historic Prism may evolve its functions to improve the service, security or cost control. An essential feature of a subscription will not be misleadingly removed without appropriate information and respect for consumer rights.

Answers generated by the documentary assistant may contain errors. They are designed to assist exploration of Historic Prism corpora and do not replace consultation of the sources. AI quotas may be adjusted for future periods; any substantial change to a paid offer is announced before it applies to the relevant renewal.

08

Acceptable use and suspension

Users must not circumvent technical limits, compromise security, automate mass extraction of the corpus, resell personal access or use the service for manifestly unlawful purposes.

In cases of serious abuse, fraud or security risk, Historic Prism may suspend an account proportionately, without prejudice to the subscriber’s legal rights.

09

Intellectual property

A subscription grants a personal right of access to content and tools according to the chosen plan; it transfers no intellectual-property rights. Quotations and uses permitted by law remain available.

Downloaded content or content accessible offline, where such a function exists, remains subject to the same rules of use.

10

Liability

Historic Prism uses reasonable means to maintain continuity, security and accuracy of the service, without guaranteeing the total absence of interruption or error. Liability is not excluded where mandatory law prohibits such exclusion.

Links to external services, third-party sources and payment or AI providers remain subject to their own terms.

11

Complaints, mediation and applicable law

Complaints may be sent via the Historic Prism contact form. Historic Prism seeks amicable resolution wherever possible.

Consumer mediator: to be appointed and identified before the first consumer sale where this obligation applies.

These Terms are governed by French law without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections available in their country of residence within the European Union.
